Chef Armstrong is proud to lead an exceptional team in planning and executing menus for various events at the hotel, including the 21st and 22nd years of Ginger Village, benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He has received numerous awards and honors including: 2013 March of Dimes Executive Chef, 2012 Foodcast Operational Excellence Award, and 2012 and 2013 Accessor Awards. Chef Armstrong also participated in a donation to Food Lifeline, a local hunger relief agency.

Previously, Chef Armstrong served as Executive Chef at the Westin La Cantera, where he led the operation of several AAA Four Diamond restaurants spanning the La Cantera PGA and Arnold Palmer Course. Here, he opened the Arnold Palmer’s Course restaurant and successfully planned and executed eight years of the PGA Tour’s Texas Open.

Prior to joining Starwood, Chef Armstrong worked at HotelsResorts, where he was named the youngest holiday chef in the company’s history and selected to join a special task force team that worked on high profile events across the country. Prior to that, he was an associate member of five major restaurants at Lake Buena Vista Resort Spa and was selected to work in Arthur’s 27 five-star restaurants.
