Nicholas Greco of Bronxville was arrested on Sunday, May 22, after police received a call about a possible burglary at the Avalon apartment complex at 125 Parkway Rd.

A taxi driver called police at 6:45 a.m. after he saw a man tear down a screen from a downstairs apartment and then enter the apartment, said Bronxville Police Sgt. Stephen Gallo.

Officers arrived at the building and arrested Greco, 26, who was found to be in possession of a stolen credit card and marijuana, Gallo said. Greco lists his address as 44 Milburn St., which is also part of the Avalon building.
Greco faces multiple charges, including criminal mischief, possession of marijuana and criminal trespass. He could face other charges.
Greco was arraigned Sunday and, unable to post $15,000 bail, was being held in the Westchester County Jail.
A woman called police to report that the driver’s side window of her vehicle had been broken. The unlocked vehicle was parked in the Avalon parking lot. The woman reported that a pair of shoes and a gift bag containing a charger were taken. Police announced that other evidence was collected at the scene.

Employees at Family Value Drug Center at 80 Pondfield Rd. call the police to report an attempted burglary. The employee said the man tried to enter the store through a roof window. Police arrived, but the suspect fled. The case is under investigation.
Police received a call from a Hemlock Street resident that his vehicle had been broken into overnight. The resident said a cell phone charger valued at about $35 and several coins were taken from the vehicle, which was unlocked and without an alarm, police said.
